Rapid City BMX and the Rapid City Sports Commission are thrilled to share that Rapid City, South Dakota, will be the location for the inaugural Mount Rushmore BMX Nationals Event, June 26-29, 2025.
“The Black Hills were made for an event like this,” said Domico Rodriguez, Executive Director of the Rapid City Sports Commission. “We have been working on getting this to Rapid City for over seven years, all riders and their families will enjoy everything there is to do here.”
A new stop on the national series, the Mount Rushmore BMX Nationals Event will take place at Rapid City BMX – Robbinsdale Park in Rapid City, South Dakota. Participants include BMX riders of all levels, from beginners to professionals from across the U.S., as the event is sanctioned by USA BMX. The event includes pre-national event activities and practice on July 26, 2025, and Mount Rushmore Nationals BMX Racing June 27-29, 2025.
“We can’t wait to welcome riders to this event for world-class racing,” said Jamie Muth, Track Operator for Rapid City BMX. “This is sure to be an unforgettable experience for everyone involved, from racing to exploring the many offerings in Rapid City and the Black Hills.”
The Rapid City BMX facility has undergone major upgrades, including to its track surface and surrounding facilities. Event partners include Rapid City BMX, Rapid City Parks & Rec and the Rapid City Sports Commission.
“The Rapid City BMX Board and volunteers are committed to promoting and advancing the sport of BMX through high-quality programs and racing events,” added Muth. “Our goal is to support BMX riders in reaching their full potential and to cultivate a vibrant, thriving BMX community.”
